This modern LED neon sign is so cool, both aesthetically and functionally! The base is a clear acrylic rectangle with a 3 dimensional shape of a miniature cloud and lightning bolt attached to it. The lighted part is a silicone LED strip attached to the 3D shape outline. The cloud lights up bright blue; the lightning bolt is a bright yellow/white. Unlike a vintage neon sign, there is no glass or heated element, which makes it safer for a kid. To light it up, I plugged the USB part of the cord.directly into a port. However, it also has a battery pack (3 AA batteries not included) and a small switch to turn it on. It lights up bright but stays cool. The cord is quite long, so you can hang it wherever you need to without worrying where to plug it in.
